books and fabulous ice skaters
Jan. 16th, 2011 02:04 amLast night I finished A Monstrous Regiment of Women. I was only 60 pages in. I got in bed and suddenly I was turning the last page and it was 5am. Now that I'm reading again, I think my brain is remembering how much FUN it is. I like it!
Also, the Mary Russell books by Laurie R King are SOOOOOOOO GOOD. It snuck up on me too. They had been recommended to me on twitter by someone who noted my obsession with all things Sherlock, but it took me a little while to get sucked into the first one. Now I have eaten my way through the first two of the series and I only have the 3rd in my possession... and I think it's time to throw more money at amazon this week. Basically, I ship Mary and Holmes so hard, it's a little ridiculous.
BUT ON TO MORE FABULOUS THINGS.
I TOTALLY MET JOHNNY WEIR TODAY AND I GOT TO TELL HIM TO HIS FACE THAT I ADORE HIS SKATING AND HIM AND THAT I LOVE HIS TV SHOW. THE TV SHOW THAT, IRONICALLY ENOUGH, THEY WERE FILMING FOR DURING THE BOOK SIGNING (if there is a god, i will not end up on tv).
