fiarra: ([moving castle] howl. emo kid)
I need to start this entry with a major shout-out/thanks to [livejournal.com profile] neoathena and [livejournal.com profile] tmchiba who both IMed me last night to ask what was up. And then both proceeded to make me feel better about everything in their own way. It's something of a strange compliment, but Kate's sometimes blunt manner of stating exactly what she thinks does wonders. I once had someone warn me against that bluntness... but all I really say to that is, it's who she is and personally, i love it. *grin* And then Dave... well he put it very well. "security issues are always confusing and complicated. if they weren't, they would be security successes." *nod* I also once again have come to realize how lucky I am to have Jacob in my life. Especially with all the emotional swings I go through every so often. (i'm only human.. i have emotional problems.. so sue me) We're going good places and I'm thankful everyday for it.

So anyway.. today was better. I had lots to help with at work today and I got my soda at lunch for only 25 cents. I'd gone to get a soda from the closest working soda machine (in the building next door) and there was a dollar bill stuck in it. It wasnt sticking far enough out to grab but you couldn't push it in. I didnt have any quarters. I'm stubborn, so instead of going to a different machine, I stayed. First I thought I could get quarters from the vending machine. Therefore I was slightly disgruntled by the gold dollar coin that dropped out. So I attacked the stuck bill with my keys. After a bit of poking and pulling and inner cursing... I managed to pull the bill out. I then proceeded to put a new bill in and get my soda... for 25 cents. And life was good.

Sadly, I got another update on the flame retardants I need. They talked to the company and were told that the request is submitted to a consortium of companies that need to ALL approve it. They were also told that one company *always says no*. My thought? WTF. He also emailed someone in the EPA about it but hasn't gotten a response. The solution? "We need to start looking at alternate sources." *twitch* At this rate I'll never start. But I can't complain cuz clearly they're trying...

Oh wells... Jacob works till 9 so I think I'll spend till then catching up on my anime and manga. *grin*
