A Day of 'Lasts'
Apr. 26th, 2005 10:15 amWell... a pretty eventful weekend. It was UCONN's Spring Weekend aka. last weekend before the reading days aka. excuse for everyone to get wasted. But I was good as usual. Friday was spent at Tyler, Brian and John's apt. watching Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle and frisbee. Saturday I went to Pat's brother's house for his nephew's 2nd birthday party. Tiring and stressful, but alright. I've now met most of his family and apparently they like me. (of particular note is his grandmother who he says liked me quite a bit.) *smile* I was a bit of a wallflower though... A screaming 2 year old and family stories makes me tired and lost for things to say. We got back, walked to the db mart for ice cream, i saw x-lot for the first time, and we finished watching Firefly. Sunday was awesome too. It was almost like Pat and I went on a real date for once. I dragged him to the University Orchestra concert for my music appreciation class and then we went to the sushi place for food, and then to Starbucks. Then we watched more movies. Phew... busy weekend and much more rewarding to me than the getting wasted and partying that most people did.
Yesterday was odd too... A day of 'lasts' like the title says. I went to chem lecture (i hate that class...). Then I went to my last chem lab EVER. It was sad. We looked over an old exam and then some of us went to the sushi place. It was weird looking around that table. I'll probably never talk to any of those people again. Quite a few are graduating... the others in different majors... interests. And yet the class was awesome and we were able to have soooo much fun together. We all looked forward to lab. *sigh* It's funny how that works.
Then was Japanese. We got to meet the prof's wife. She's the typical Japanese woman I suppose. Didn't say a word, would probably have rather never been introduced. But... they brought Japanese snacks!! Pocky.... *drool* But the best part were these bite sized jello things. I had 8 during class. *grin* I couldn't stop eating the orange ones....
Anyway, time for bio... so off I go to start my day!
