hmmm..... i don't even know....
Jan. 25th, 2005 01:23 amWaaah here I am back at school and not an update to be seen.
Let's just say that last week was not fun. It's going to be a long semester because each day just drags out more and more for me. I work tues/thurs 6-10pm after full class days that start at 9:30 am. On mon/wed I have a 3 hour lab session which, while being way fun, is also way long and makes me feel like I lost my whole day. And then we have the Friday schedule from hell. 11-12 and then 4-5:20. *No one* wants to be in class until past 5 on a Friday. And then the weekend I just relax, but it's not enough really.
Classes: Evolutionary Bio I thought would be cool. Turns out it's just kinda boring. Maybe once we stop talking about the theory and stuff behind it and start looking at actual cases it will be cool. I find the professor to be dry. Plus it's a writing based course, so I'm kindof scared.
Organic Chem, part 2 is bleh. My professor is awesome though. And the fact that it's 3, 50 min classes rather than 2, 1.25 hr classes really helps. I think I might actually learn better with this guy. He explains stuff very well.
Organic Chem Lab hits the jackpot. The 2, 50 min lectures are fun because the prof is laidback and has a cool accent. It's also fun to think about the labs. The TA for my 2, 3hr lab sessions is also very cool. And I've always liked science labs the best anyway. Even the lab reports. *This* is why I chose a science major. RESEARCH!!!
Music Appreciation H is a general requirement and it's in the farthest building on campus. Luckily we have a bus. It's cool but I'm not so sure I'll ever get myself to actually study this stuff. I like music and all but.... At least the professor is also cool, has a cool accent and it's a small class.
Japanese is bleh as well. The prof we have this last semester would have done better as our first semester prof. He taught Japanese to middle school students in Japan for years so his English isn't that great. But he speaks clearly and such. Too bad the classtimes suck and I don't know the vocab at all yet... It's all good. I'll deal.
Work: Oh yeah I *heart* ResNet despite the cruddy reputation it has here at school. The people there are cool. The work is easy but fun.
Yeah... I'd talk about more stuff but I don't think I want the whole world to be able to read it...
