Bloody hell...
Oct. 29th, 2003 04:42 pmThere really should be an emotion kitty for 'wet'. It perfectly decribes my state during the day. My mind is in shambles right now and the root is in yesterday, so I suppose I'll start there.
Yesterday I had an oceanography test and I didn't start reading the last 3 of the 4 chapter until Monday night. Big mistake. I mean, yeah I had the class notes, but some of what she puts in the test is from the book only. To make a long story short, my test was at 2 and I finished reading the last chapter at noon. So I was majorly stressed from frantic cramming. The test was ok, but my brain was so dead. Especially because I haven't been getting much sleep and it really has been taking its toll on me. It would have been good except that I also had a japanese quiz yesterday at 7 and i didn't get to even glance at the material until about 5. And then I had to get dinner and stuff. So I'm sure I did pretty bad. The only thing that saved me is that the prof put the stuff in the same order as in the book and I'm really good at memeorizing stuff like that. So, yeah. I was dead yesterday.
Then comes today... I woke up and it was windy and rainy. This makes umbrellas useless and I was pissed. So I ended up feeling just really soggy and more depressed than usual. Then comes my class on Women in Science and Engineering. We talked about gender discrimination... again... The guy keeps telling us how we're going to face all this discrimination and stuff and scientists and engineers and stuff like that. So, my roommate's like, 'it seems like he's trying to keep us away from the sciences.' She may have a point, but she had no backup and started saying stuff about her hunches and stuff like that. At that point my poor brain rebelled against the stupidity of the world and I am now listening to music on my headphones very loudly. I should go do work.
