Connecticon and lonely insubstantial-ness
First off Connecticon was soooooooo awesome!!! We got there at 10-ish and got all registered and stuff. From there, after much staring at the program, we went to go watch some Fruits Basket (dubbed sadly) because Tom hadn't seen it. From there we went to the DDR room where we watched the crazy people who were really good at it. We also listened to some people playing the Karaoke game. Twas painful. I did end up playing some DDR and have concluded that I am getting better at it. I wish I had a DDR set-up at my house. I would be getting so much exercise.
Finally it was 2pm and I wanted to go to a cel painting workshop. So they gave up paint and transparencies with pictures to paint. It was fun and took 2 hours. And now I have a pretty picture that I painted and the con. Then we watched a few random episodes of Naruto. I think I need to download it now. It's cool and I like nijas. *nods sagely* Right around this time, (4pm) I realized that I was kinda hungry. But... I *really* wanted to go to the dealer's room. So off we went.
Oh.My.God. The Dealer's Room. I walked in the door and froze. My mind wanted me to go in 5 directions at the same time. It was anime overload. I ended up going in a loop. I bought 2 manga (almost 3 but I couldn't remember what volume of Inu Yasha I was on). Then I had the find of the day. A Fullmetal Alchemist wall scroll!!!!! *hugs it* It's my precious... Also got the Witch Hunter Robin Soundtrack, a FMA clear postcard and an FMA pencilboard. I almost bought the first 3 volumes of Sailor Moon Live Action too.
As we walked out, I heard someone yell my name. It was Marianne!! I shoulda known she was coming. Her, Tyler, Brian and Brian's (?)girlfriend we all dressed up to be in the cosplay contest. So we went to that and I took pictures of them all on stage. It was way cool. There was this one guy dressed as Vash and it was sooooooo accurate. I saw him and was like, OMG it's Vash!!!! He won a prize too. So yeah, then it was 9pm and I was tired and hungry. But then we ran into Britney who was there with Mike for the web-comic panel. So I stayed till 11 with her.
Conclusion: I ate nothing all day except a bag of chips, I spent lots of money and had an awesome time. Definitely way worth it. I wanna cosplay next year too. I'm thinking Mei-lin from CCS. I like her battle outfit and my hair matches pretty well. Her or Sailor Scout or maybe someone else. But I've always held a soft spot for Mei-lin. I must start planning...
Yeah so my grandparents are here for the week while the 'rents are out of town. It's nice to have them around, but it gets annoying sometimes. They're more cloying than my parents and don't always listen fully to stuff. That's the reason I have to buy today... Because I don't have turkey for my sandwich and my grandmother didn't seem to understand when I told her that. *sigh* I hafta stop at the supermarket on the way home now.
Although I did go see King Arthur yesterday with Cristina and my little sis. Pretty good movie although very violent. I think it was a bit much for my sister. I feel kinda bad. Went out to dinner with them all afterwards and then went to return Cristina's fish and plant. Fun times.
This morning was bad though. I lack the patience sometimes. My grandmother like wrenches open my door at 6:15 on the dot. And we're talking turning knob and pushing open *really* hard and loud. It scared the hell outta me. And then every 2 minutes she came back to tell me to get up. And then she wanted to throw away some of out Tupperware cuz it looked a little old!! My mother would have my head if she threw it out.... *sigh* But I got here fine...
But now it's reeeally creepy. 9:30 and I haven't seen a single person. Raj is here but hasn't said hi to me yet. *shivers* I don't like it. I like having people. I like noise. But now there's nothing. It's making me feel rather insubstantial. And today is just data entry for me so it'll be long and dull. I want my peoples back! It's no fun withoout them!!! *wibbles* Carolina is lonely....
Waaaaaahhhh!!! I just dropped my little flash drive and now it has this crack in the outer plastic casing!!! I hope it's ok... my dad will kill me if I broke it. *cries and pets the flash drive* Pweese be ok....

Good luck on getting your flash drive working again, and as for DDR I'm sure you can buy a mat online that you can hook up to your pc and play through that. Lastly, at some point can i please copy that WHR soundtrack :) I'd be willing to help defer the cost of your purchase if u let me... Hope everything is going good.
