If looks could kill....
*yawn* Another busy day today. Too tired to go into details.
On another note, my mother was being a pain in the ass this morning. She asked me some questions about tonight's outing to Bertucci's for Lena's bday and since it was before 7am and I was tired, I kinda of muttered something back at her. Whereupon she decided that I was using a bad tone with her and then told my dad about how I was being awful to her. *sigh* I was tired so maybe I did answer in a bit harsher tone than I'd intended, but I'm of the belief that I shouldn't be held totally accountable for my actions before 7am and/or before I've eaten something. But there was still no justifible reason for her to tell my dad about it in exaggerated tones... *sighs again* Some days...
Last night I went to a poetry reading with my dad. He was reading... It was in this Latin cafe and bookstore and they were doing it because the 12th was the 100 years since the birth of Pablo Neruda. My dad really likes his poetry. Anyway... it was nice. They had music and readings and singing. It made me think of when I went to these things in California. One of my clearer childhood memories as of one that he did in this really weird museum. I can see it in my mind. The one thing that stood out the most to me was the extreme whiteness of the walls and the lighting. I still have the book I was reading when we went. Thus, last night was interesting at that level as well.
Anyway... off to work. I think I did this thing already beause it was going around, but I don't remember...
(random edit) Yesterday there was a talk given by a postdoc candidate. She's applying for the lab across the hall. The guy in charge of that lab looks like this guy from school which is weird, but he has the *best* accent ever. I spent the whole talk wanting him to ask more questions so I could hear the accent again. *melts*
