6am... the sun is up... and i'm going to bed....

Yes... you read the subject line correctly.... the sun has risen and I am finally going to bed. Tonight was quite possibly the coolest Friday night EVER. Marianne told me that someone from the school dc++ hub had told about the Friday night movie night some people have in the Math Building. So tonight we decided to go check it out. It was so weird going to the Math Building at 9pm on a Friday night... Anyway. We get there and there are 3 guys there, all from the hub, one of whom is actually the person who, like, created the hub for our school. So we chilled a while in the grad student lounge. This was followed by much drinking of diet coke and watching 5 episodes of Firefly, a show that used to be on Fox. Awesome show. I liked it a lot. It was like a space western. This was followed by 2 episodes of Millenium, which was weird. And by the time we get through all this, it is 20 min to 6am and the sun is up. *sheepish grin* But it was fun.

Heheh... we're such nerds... And those 3 guys knew so much about computers... it was nuts. The 3 are all comp sci and engineering, as is Marianne. So I'm sitting there, clueless, while they talk about computer classes and stuff. But it was cool. Smart people.... it's so good to be around them. I lost some of that this year. *sigh of relief* Good to know that there are intelligent people in this school... wow... that sounded sooooo conceited... sorry bout that. daaaaaaamn... i really need to sleep. Gotta be up by at least 2pm. I promised Marianne I would go play video games with her tomorrow afternoon. Although... there are no guarantees that either of us will actually be awake by that time... heh heh... I go now.

Yes... I have an LJ. heh heh... I feel like I just passed some sort of test and I'm now deemed "cool enough" to go to movie night. eeeeeexcellent....

Thanks for inviting me!! (well, actually you invited Marianne and I just went with her, but that's not the point...) And yes, I do believe that I shall have to visit again. And maybe next time I'll have to bring food... *ponders*

Actually, if you show up there a tiny bit early, and then take those of us who aren't blessed with meal plans (which, really, is just me) over to Jonathan's to score a whole lot of fries, KMX and single-serve bottled juices, it'd be hyper sweet of you.
