it's like staring into the eye of a duck
So... the week like, started at some point.
Yesterday was MLK Day. I was gonna go to the lab and such.. but then I slept until noon instead. idk guys, I do an awful lot of sleeping and not wanting to EVER get out of bed. Even on nights when I go to bed at a more "normal" time. I don't like it. Okay anyway, I'll think on that later. I slept in and then was very unproductive. Then around 5, my roommate was like "let's go watch an episode of firefly!". See, she likes Nathan Fillion so I told her that we HAVE to watch Firefly. A few weeks ago we watched the pilot. We were gonna do one episode a week.
.....FIVE HOURS LATER. We watched six episodes in one sitting. I don't even know how we managed that! It was AWESOME.
Then we have today! So yesterday I had emailed my advisor (we.. haven't talked.. or seen each other in a while) because I need to get a form signed by him. I said I would try to catch him after the class he teaches on campus (remember, an hour away from my home) to get it signed. So great. The short version of this story is that public transportation hates me and I hate it back. Also, snow.
I woke up. Looked outside. The world was white. So I got ready.... walked outside... and fell on my ass because there was a layer of SOLID ICE under the inch of snow.
Kinda like this:

So.. that was awesome. Cleaned off my car..... headed out to the T stop at Wonderland. The Lynnway was not plowed so I was sliding around in the far right lane. As I'm driving, a MORON in the MIDDLE LANE decides that they needed to make a right turn... ACROSS MY LANE... RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. So I'm trying to brake, except.. my car isn't stopping.. and oh look there's a snowbank in front of me now.. oh wait now I'm sliding the other way now.. oh hi car.

RAWWWWRRR
Ok, so after all that excitement, I manage to not DIE and arrive at the station. I pulled into the parking lot and the booth attendant is like, lol the lot is full. I asked where I should park then.. and he points across the street, to the scary lot that I had hoped I would never ever need to park in. So I drive my poor car into the lot, which is totally unplowed. Normally you have to pay for that lot, but the dude in the booth was like, keep driving sweetie. And i was like, uuuhhh ok plz don't tow my car later. So I parked, trudged my way across the tundra (in my converse. did you know that cons are not waterproof? i mean, i knew this.. and yet there i was..) and walked into the station.
PRAISE ATHEIST JESUS, I thought.

So I prance my way onto the train.... and then... doom.

There was a wire issue on the line. So after sitting 10 minutes on a non-moving train, they tell us that we are going to have to go to one stop, get off... get on a bus that will DRIVE US TO THE VERY NEXT STOP.. and then get back on the train.

So.. that is exactly what happened. Now let us revisit the fact that I was supposed to be getting to campus to meet my advisor who I haven't spoken to in weeks. Yeah. So I'm like, aaahh panic!
ANYWAY. The train moves.. I get on the bus.. I get on the train again. I make a really fast orange line connection... And then the orange line stopped between stops like 4 times.
MY BRAIN BY NOW LOOKS SOMETHING LIKE THIS:

So finally I got to campus. Too late for the form to be signed because my advisor is already gone.
So then I had lunch with my friend and hid in a corner of the library until class, which was boring.
The End!

In other news, I started watching Black Books and it was the best idea OF MY LIFE. As was commented on my FB status, I hope someday to be as miserable as Bernard. Miserable and drunk. :')
