inquiring minds want to know

So I was talking to [livejournal.com profile] tmchiba tonight on AIM about Yuki Kajiura and Anime Boston. And it turned into discussing conventions, specifically those autograph sessions they often run for official guests. No one interesting to me has ever been to a convention near me so I don't know... but I have heard tell of awful lines and cut-offs and basically a lot of hassle to get through for like.. 30 seconds with the person and maybe a picture.

The moral being: If you're gonna do it in a convention setting at an official session.. it better be someone you freaking LOVE TO PIECES.

So I ask you friend's list!
Who is on your list of people you would go through all that just to get an autograph and a few seconds of their time? I am genuinely curious about this and want lots of you to answer in detail!

I'll go ahead ramble about my own list.

one:
THE ENTIRE MAIN MERLIN CAST - individually or as a group
Need I explain? If I had the money and the time.. I probably would have gone to freaking London to see them at the Expo. I am insanely jealous of the people who got to go and had a lot of fun living vicariously through their picture and video posts. That being said, the people I have the most desire to meet at Colin Morgan, Bradley James and Anthony Head.

two:
Zachary Quinto
I BET THIS WAS A HUGE SURPRISE!!! lulzzz. For further explantion, please refer to my 2 picspam posts and my ever expanding image folder. That being said, I am not totally shallow and part of my desire is for a chance to even talk to him because he seems like such an intelligent person with an awesome vocabulary and I just.. would love for a chance at even 30 seconds of that in person.

three:
Ok pretty much anyone else in the ST movie cast
They all come from such a varied background and it fascinates me. I want to bask in it.

four:
Orson Scott Card
I. Love this man's books. I almost had a chance to meet him at a book signing, but I couldn't find a ride. So a good friend went and got Speaker for the Dead signed for me. It has my name in it and everything. PLUS it's my favorite book in the whole world. But.. I would love a second to meet him in person and get Ender in Exile signed. *_*

I feel like there was more to this list at some point, but my mind is very much set on a few certain tracks right now. xD

Um... yea. xD I should be in bed right now having sweet dreams about piercing stares.

#1: I'm super duper curious. I feel like it's something crazy like Dickens or something as ridiculous.

#2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3HfCTz74UQ
Yeah, that's a dude playing a girl. It's the funniest stuff EVER.

#3: Definitely add it to the list. Especially because there are like 50 million hott guys to oogle at.

#4: See, it's all about East of Eden for me. The most brilliant novel ever written!

I can't believe no one has ever asked him that. Hrm... and I hope it would be something ridiculous.

Ahahaha that clip. That is awesome!! *still rofl-ing*

*shame* I haven't read East of Eden. I know my dad must have a copy around here though... *ponder*

Haha, I'm glad you liked that clip! Sometimes I feel that British humor is about 40 million times more funnier than American humor!

Oh, you have to read it! It's a bitch to get through, but once you're done, it's like, woah, that was brilliant. Haha.

British humor is amazing! My dad looves Monty Python so I got all the love from him. Now I just eat that stuff right up.

*resolves to track down a copy* I need to do more reading anyway as I have gotten lazy. =| That will be a good start!

Oh...my....god. I LOVE MONTY PYTHON. I got to see John Cleese do standup a couple of years ago! Michael Palin is my favorite Python, and omg. It's the best.

You... you got to see him... live?! Ahh that's amazing!!!

We actually rang in the New Year by popping one of the DVDs in right after the ball dropped and we sat around watching for like 45 minutes. BEST NEW YEARS EVER!! (We had company over and they'd never seen any of it!!)

[identity profile] brightlightss.livejournal.com 2009-06-07 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
YES! He showed us pictures of his recent surgery where they took out the spleen or appendix or something like that, ahah. And then showed us his scar! It was hilarious.

Omg, what a perfect New Years. I haven't watched those DVD's in forever. *goes into the garage to dig them out of storage. curse moving!*

That is so cool!

It was an epic New Year's. (something I was really glad for *shakes fist at world*) I need to re-watch them again soon, it's been too long. :3
