The track titles of the Star Trek OST are soooo silly. "Nero Death Experience"? "Nice to Meld You"? Srsly... who came up with the titles?! Also, for some reason the torrent I grabbed turned "That New Car Smell" into "That New Cat Smell"... and I can't make myself change it just yet. That being said, I really enjoy the main melody line for the movie theme. It's like the Merlin theme song all over again.

SPEAKING OF MERLIN

June 21st is sooo soon guys! They're already showing the tv previews on NBC. Although I must say that I'm.. not really pleased with them? Especially with the voice-over guy. Why are none of the tv spots able to portray how totally epic it is? I don't understand. No matter, I will be glued to my tv that night for sure. Possibly with my laptop in front of me so I can flail as I am watching.

Today was a busy day. We went to the Salvation Army to donate a pile of clothing that we don't want anymore, as well as my childhood bike. *tear* My mom was gonna throw the bike out, but it's still in really good condition considering both my sister and I used it... so I convinced her that we should donate it. Yay for doing good things. Then we spent far too much time at BJ's getting an absurd amount of food/house stuff. They did not have anything interesting in their DVD section like I was hoping.

It was also free ice cream day at Friendly's! So we went to get some ice cream. xD I am boring and got vanilla. Mostly because I couldn't remember what else I normally get there so I just said VANILLA! really fast. It, unfortunately, did not help satisfy this craving for green tea ice cream that I developed this morning.

*shakes computer* FINISH ACQUIRING HEROES DARNIT. Until then.. I think I am going to be daring and open up Microsoft Word to see what I can come up with. Between Trek fandom, the Merlin-thon and general free time this weekend, I'm starting to get the writing bug again. *woe*

Green tea ice cream really is nummy. I also like coconut, though. :D Have you had mochi? That's the best Japanese dessert.

I do that ALL THE TIME. ^^; Sometimes I read over comments I leave, and I think that my hs English teacher must be rolling in her grave.

I haven't had any mochi in over a year. u_u; But there's a new Japanese place in Ketchikan, so hopefully I'll get some when we go! :D

My favorite is when I make entries late at night... and then the next day I read them and wonder what I was on. So many typos and grammar errors. *wince*

There have been times I go back and look at a comment or a post and realise that I don't even know what the crap I was talking about. ^^;; Those are the really bad ones, when I can't decipher it for all the mistakes.

Will's not a huge fan of any Asian food (he loves Mexican, though, and is constantly complaining that he married a Mexican only to eat more Chinese, Thai, and Japanese than he ever laid eyes on before ^^), but I've already told him that I want him to take me there for dinner when I arrive. I just hope that it's good. Ketchikan can be a bit fickle about ethnic cooking. (There's a great Thai place, but the only Mexican restaurant makes their Spanish rice with peas and carrots. u_u;

xDD That's happened to me a few times. I always just end up shrugging and leave it.

Mexican food is yummy, but I always go for the Asian if I have a choice. *crosses fingers for you* (darn now I really want sushi this week).

I like Mexican alright (kind of genetically inclined to, you know? :P) but I actually grew up eating Asian. ^^; My dad is a HUGE fan of Chinese. I've been using chopsticks since I was around four.

And I really really don't know! I think they just throw in mixed frozen veggies, cause there's corn, too. (Which isn't as weird.) It's almost closer to fried rice, there's just hot sauce in it. ^^;

I love chopsticks. At school I used to eat my entire meal with them just for fun, even when it wasn't even remotely Asian-themed. Also my parents like seafood a lot... so Asian-themed is pretty common around here. xD

Hrm.. that does sound more like fried rice (lol I typed "friend" at first). How silly of them.

mmm, seafood. There's something I'm looking forward to in AK: fresh, CHEAP salmon and halibut and crab and shrimp...! (OOH, I can go back to my favourite fish and chips stand! XDD) Hopefully, it'll also mean fresh sushi! :D And it's actually easier for me to eat Asian food with chopsticks - a fork feels really clumsy for some reason. ^^;
