more flags more fun
And another week+ has passed without an update from me. I was thinking the other day about how this is the longest lasting journal I've ever had. Exciting stuff? Maybe not. xD
*points at icon* SO MUCH AWESOME THERE ARE NO WORDS. I bought the Season 1 Robin Hood box set from ebay yesterday and now I will sit and fidget until it gets here. I need Season 2 as well.. but its too new so it's still pretty much full price everywhere. BUU!! *not obssessed I swear* 0=)
Last Wednesday I went with my brother, his gf, my sister and 3 of her friends to Six Flags to celebrate my sister's bday. Long story short: Only 2 of those friends came back with us. The third one had to call her parents to get her because security was kicking her out. It was not a MORE FLAGS MORE FUN situation at all. In fact, it was a pretty shitty day until the last 4 or so hours.
So here's what happened. This chick was totally insane and lacked quite a deal of common sense. When we entered the park, while we were waiting for the stupid security guy to stop hard-searching Mariah's purse (wtf dude she didn't have coke on her or anything), this girl ran off because she'd spotted the Bugs Bunny face character. Cue her hugging the characters, poking one in the chest, and generally being an obnoxious park-goer. Finally we drag her away and go ride on Batman. After that we all decide to go back across the park to the tower drop ride. On the way, we pass the Bugs and Daffy. She gets stopped and invited to be Bugs' dance partner. She goofs off a little.. high fives all around.. and some guy with a headset pulls her aside to say he needs to ask her some questions. The group doesn't notice for a moment, but when I did I figured he needed to ask her something quick and then we'd be on our way. A minute passes and he's doing nothing. So I walk up to ask what is going on. He says that she just has to wait. Mind you, we're standing in the full-on sun, it's miserable and we're confused. After about 5 minutes, some security guy comes up. He doesn't say anything, just says that she needs to go with him... AND THEY START WALKING AWAY. Now.. this girl is 16, a minor, and no one is giving us a reason for her needing to go with them. I had to literally chase them down because they didn't even stop when I called after them. And the douchebag security guy didn't even stop, only the first guy stopped to talk... to say that he couldnt tell us anything. So we were told to wait outside Guest Relations. Nick and I did... for over an hour... AND NO ONE CAME BACK TO TELL US ANYTHING. The girl had to sneak a call to one of us to tell us what was going on... and that they were charging her with assualting the face characters.
So my day was effectively ruined when by 2:30pm in the park, I still had managed to only ride one ride. Luckily we got on Superman later and I could forget about that whole deal for a while.
On Sunday my grandma left to return to Chile. =( I spent tons of time with her in those last couple days and it was really sad to see her go. I have my room back.. but still sad.
Nick moves into his dorm on Friday. I feel old and wishing that I could be moving into a dorm at UCONN this year. I miss school....
