I was listening to old Linkin Park in my car and it was making me sad remembering how much I don't like their new cd. It's like taking Tarja out of Nightwish and giving her an orchestra. It just ends up sounding lost.

Last anime club meeting tonight. Most likely the last in... forever? Who knows. T_T We'll see how I handle that come meeting time. I'm still sad I missed watching the end of Ouran with the rest of the club. I mean, I've seen it.. but that must have been an experience. *sighs* Sad kitty...

Flying to North Carolina tomorrow at 6:30am isn't going to be fun. Luckily I did some sort of crazy checking in online so I actually already have my boarding pass for the flight there and can therefore proceed directly to the gate to board. Yay.

*yawns* I'm so tired...

lulz. i hadn't posted anything about it because i was too afraid of jinxing it somehow.

i got an offer from a faculty member down there for a spot starting in the fall. TA stipend for one year, then a research stipend for a full year. out of state tuition waiver. good research and connections.

i'm visiting tomorrow and friday so i can see the place in person, but i think barring like... awful locale or something equally unpleasant, i plan to take the offer after friday. 2 years master's prog.

Hmm, well North Carolina is kindof farther away than say CT which will make visiting a bit harder. But they have awfully nice beaches down there... So I guess I'll have to stop on by at some point.
