step 1: complete

It's been a fairly busy week. But I suppose that's not a terrible thing.

On Monday I went to go hang out with Phil. We played DDR, watched anime and just generally acted like the silly dorks we pretend we arent... (well.. I don't pretend, I admit that I am.. but shh). It was fun and I got hooked onto another series (Nodame Cantabile). Now if only I could find somewhere to "acquire" the series not as an mkv, since when I tried my laptop freaked out.

Today I secured my job for the fall. One of the immunology labs at the UCONN Health Center was looking for a research assistant.. and my dad knows the person. So I went to talk to her today. The lab is very small and clearly just getting established firmly in the department. But the one other person there seemed nice enough and it sounds like I'll get to play with a lot of fun equipment. So I'm being offered special payroll (no benefits.. buu...) full time at $15/hour. So... not too shabby. She gave me till Monday to decide, but I'll probably just email her on Friday with a 'yes!'. Extra bonus for this job: I already know at least half the people in the department so I won't have to be nervous about meeting new people. Bad part: I know them cuz they all work with my dad, so I'll have to work extra-hard to be known as more than just "Dr. Aguila's daughter who got the job cuz of her daddy".

Then I went to the center with Cristina, where we asked ourselves, "if we were dads.. what would we want?" The answer being little jars and containers of gourmet foods. Course I didn't actually buy anything since I'm still not sure about the whole cologne thing. So expensive.... We also had silly conversations about apartments and cooking.

Buuuuuut... tomorrow I get to go see my silly Justin againn. And it promises to be more happy funtimes. Plus, I've been promised a dinner outing to a Japanese restaurant. Give me food and I am happy... generally. ^^

And with that... to sleep!!
