mini-golf, slight drunkification (not by me), DDR and video games

Very busy weekend for me which was nice because it didn't give me time to think about anything. Friday was mini-golf with Cristina which was fun. but she won again.... but I think I did better than last time which is nice. And then it was off to her house to make cookies. Mmmm... cookies. They were really yummy too. Cristina!!! I needs recipe for yummy cookies!!!

Also, on Friday I was in Otaku Heaven for a while, but t-babe and Raz weren't there. Ispano was for a while, but then he left.
*t-babe*- I got your text message!!!! It was exciting when I found it on my phone. If you read this, I need your email address!!!!!

Anyway....

Saturday was the annual clam bake thing at friend's house. I saw most of the people in my lab there. As usual, there were large amounts of alcohol involved. Most of the people there being grad students, they all showed up with cases of beer to add to the numerous coolers. *sweatdrop* There was lots of lobster and clams and corn and potatoes. Twas most fun actually. I was surprised at myself when it was all over. I thought I was going to be bored. I guess at first I was, but I think after dinner everyone had found their own groups and most people had had enough beer to make it fun. Just generally a good time was had by all. Except that I have bug bites now because we were outside. And of course one of them had to be right near my eye... Now it's all puffy around there with the bite and I can feel the slight poofy pressure on the side of my eye. Very distracting...

Sunday I went to Marianne's (future roomie) house for the afternoon/evening. There were a bunch of people there. We went in her pool, played spoons, DDR and video games. It was cool. I finally got to meet Cort, Main, and Saver. I'd only really known them from those groups chats during the year. Tyler had brought his DDR pads and we got to play a little. I thought I was gonna be really bad at it, but I don't think I did too bad. A little practice would be nice I suppose, but twas fun nonetheless. We also stood around and watch Paul play Super Smash on Gamecube. This kid is nuts. He was playing Break the Targets and totally pwning them. I think under 4 min total high scores is pro and he had 3 min 53 sec. He had Link to 3.5 seconds!!! He was nuts. And then they broke out the Pokemon cards. I played her brother with a lot of help from Paul and won. Then Chris went and beat him like twice in a row with an older deck. hehe. Left there around 10:20.

Heh.. I get here today and look at my LJ to find that my layout is back to what it was before they messed it up. I also can't find the entry I wrote from when they messed it up in the first place. Unless I'm just really blind... Gonna be a slow day today too. I have to wait on my super-good data because I havve to repeat the thing again before graphing. There's really nothing to do besides sit and stare at the immunology book and take weak notes. Pfft... thinking during the summer. How could I??
