Why do I even bother?

So, this weekend sucked. So, I have 3 tests this week and I brought a ton of stuff home with me to try and get lots of work done. Big mistake. See, we're painting our house and my mom is going nuts with color choices. They're painting and my mom still is agonizing over the final color. So Friday we go to Home Depot and spend half a fricking hour in front of the paint stand. Yeah, then Saturday I got up much too late and ended up going to my dad's lab to check my mail and print stuff. I brought my reading and ended up spending 3 hours online rather than studying. So that left Sunday for me to do some major studying. Well, Sunday morning I wake up and hear rain. I fell back asleep and was woken up by my sister poking me at 10:30 to tell me the basement is flooding and they need help. First point, it was way later than I had wanted to be up. Second point, I then spent 1.5 hours mopping the basement with a towel instead of studying. See, when they started painting the house, they took off the gutters, so all the water pooled at the edge of the house. Our skylight leaked all over the carpet in our family room and there were puddles and rivulets in the basement. I had to walk around bare foot in slimy water and use a towel to mop it all up. A towel that at one point was white and is now a gross shade of brown. eww... And to top it off, my sister's b-day party was on Sunday too. urk. Not a happy house at all.
Today wasn't bad though. I was sitting in psychology today and one of the ceiling tiles was waterlogged and dripping all over the floor. Well, right towards the end of lecture, the entire tile falls to the ground with a crash, in pieces, splattering water all over. It was very funny. It just fell. Except then, right when I left the hall, it started raining so I got all wet. Well, on the plus side, we bought me a new computer so I should be internet-connected by the beginning of next week. Yay!!!
