Travels, Potter and AC

Hmm... so I've been back for almost a week now.

The last bits of my vacation went ok. We went to Portsmouth and the German restaurant there for the last time in a long time.

We also visited my Grandfather's grave... Still not sure what I think about that one. It's still not really real to me since I didn't see him that ONE summer right before due to my REU. And then.. y'know... was told about it through an email. *sigh* But with my Grandma moving in a month to her apartment in Chile... I don't think there's going to be a chance for anyone to get down there anytime soon. Depressing...

So finally after all that... on Monday I left on the train. And again more melancholy. Basically.. I'm never going to see that house again. And that wasn't fun. As it is... the walls were already too bare and showing signs of the impending move. So.. yeah. Stuff.

Monday was also dubbed the day of Potter. I had started re-reading book 6 on saturday after I bought the 7th. I didn't want to start the new one without the details fresh on my mind. And since I only really read HBP once... years ago.. I felt it needed a re-read. I was 150 pages into it on Monday morning. I got on the train at 930. By 1pm I had finished the remaining 500 pages and started right into the 7th. Seven hours later... I was done. I was honestly surprised I finished it that fast... but honestly it just drew me in and didn't let me go once. I arrived in Old Saybrook at 830 where Justin was waiting for me. .. And we went right off to watch the 5th movie. Which I also enjoyed. SO yes... day of Potter.

After a lazy Tuesday, complete with chinese and stir fry... it was back to work on Wednesday. The good news is that I'm half-done with my project.... The bad news is that I still have the second half AND I need to writeup the first part. But at least I have good results now.

And I got to see Justin lots over the past few days. That's always nice... to just be able to hang out. We went to the mall yesterday afternoon and I finally bought Rozen Maiden 5 and also the last book in the Nightwatch series. I have a lot of reading to do. It makes me happy.

Hmm.. what else. I bought a volume of the GothLoli Bible at CTcon and I'm in love with it. As a result, I'm working on buying more volumes. I love how there are patterns in the backs. Some of the patterns are really cool and possibly useful. I've been lurking on Gaia far too often, but I can't stop because I like poking around the site. And my newest project is almost ready to actually be revealed.

I think that's it. I leave you now with this link.

Fox did an expose of 4chan and Anonymous. Apparently anonymous and 4chan is really a secret underground hacker organization. Who knew?
